Creating without judgement

Who I am

I’m a qualified Art Psychotherapist, HCPC registered, and a member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT).

My work is grounded in warmth, empathy, and respect. I offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore your feelings creatively and at your own pace. I work in a non-judgemental way, with clear, professional boundaries that help you feel secure and held throughout the therapeutic process.

I have worked with people of all ages — from early years through to older adulthood — in settings that support emotional wellbeing, learning, and mental health. This has given me a deep appreciation for the many ways creativity can help people make sense of their experiences and find new paths toward healing and growth.

I believe in the power of creativity to support healing, connection, and self-understanding. Through art therapy, we can explore the stories and emotions that shape us — sometimes finding meaning and hope where words alone may fall short.

How I work

I work in a relational and person-centred way, meaning our connection and collaboration are at the heart of the process.

My aim is to offer a safe, non-judgemental space with clear boundaries, where you can explore freely, make sense of your experiences, and find your own way forward.

Every session is different and guided by your needs. Sometimes we talk more; other times, we might create quietly and reflect on what emerges together.

What is art therapy?

Art therapy isn’t about being good at art — and it doesn’t have to be messy or even involve paint if that’s not your thing. We might use drawing, collage, postcards, or simple mark-making — whatever feels right for you in the moment.

In my work, art therapy is a powerful and creative process that helps people explore and make sense of their inner world. It offers a space to express feelings and experiences that can sometimes be hard to put into words.

The focus is on the process rather than the product. Through image-making and reflection, you may begin to see patterns, emotions, or stories emerge that help you understand yourself in new ways.

However it unfolds, the aim is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore at your own pace, with curiosity and care.

Art therapy can offer support anyone at any age or stage of life — especially during times of change, challenge, or healing.

Whether you’re living with stress, grief, illness, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, art therapy can help you reconnect with yourself in new and meaningful ways.

You don’t need to be an artist or have any art experience. What matters is the process — not the product.

Through colour, shape, and image, you can begin to express what words sometimes cannot.
